Obituary - Philip H. Van Dyck, 89, of Schenectady, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 21, 2009, at Baptist Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Scotia. He was born in Schenectady, NY, the son of the late Louis and Marguerite Van Dyck and was a lifelong area resident. Philip graduated from Pace Institute in NYC. He was employed with Alco in both Auburn and Schenectady as an international parts specialist until his retirement in 1983. Philip is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Ruth Klapper Van Dyck; brothers, David (Margaret) Van Dyck of Connecticut, and Richard (Nancy) Van Dyck of Schenectady; sister, Margaret Fisher of Pattersonville; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Park Cemetery, Scotia.
